Important Information

The HomeAhead Platform, Consumer Choice, and Program Benefits

The HomeAhead Homeownership Program, powered by HomeAhead™, is a homeownership preparation platform designed to help HomeAhead Members prepare for homeownership. Through the Program, Members have access to educational resources, planning tools, and a personalized HomeAhead Profile that helps them organize their information and understand how it compares to common public benchmarks before pursuing a mortgage.

Members retain full control over their HomeAhead Profile. Members may choose to print or export their profile and provide it directly to any mortgage lender of their choosing, whether or not that lender participates in the HomeAhead Homeownership Program. The HomeAhead Homeownership Program does not require Members to use a participating lender and does not restrict a Member’s ability to shop for, compare, or obtain mortgage financing outside the Program.

Members who elect to transmit their HomeAhead Profile to a participating lender within the HomeAhead Homeownership Program framework may have access to program-specific benefits available through participating lenders. Certain program benefits are available only on qualifying mortgages originated within the Program framework and are subject to applicable program requirements, lender guidelines, and applicable law. Participating lenders are independent, licensed mortgage lenders. Members remain free to choose any lender and mortgage option that best meets their individual needs.
